It comes in a fancy bowl and a fancy box which makes you think this is a premier product from Taylor of Old Bond Street, but it is certainly not!!! It claims to have some kind of woody, masculine smell, but it smells like cheap unscented soap... and I largely judge shaving soaps by the quality of their scent. Furthermore it does not lather as nicely as other shave soaps, it does not leave skin feeling soothed or hydrated like or simply perform better than most shaving soaps I have used and use today. It also claims to be 3.5 oz shaving soap, but my Art of Shaving soaps are only 3.3 Oz and are somehow larger than this shave soap and actually fit their wooden shaving bowls nicely... unlike this one. This shaving soap is over priced but it underperforms... you are better off buying an Art of Shaving soap, you will get the quality you expect at a certain price point and feel it was well worth the expense and you won't feel cheated like I did with this product.
