This attractive acrylic drip stand offers a convenient way to store and dry your shaving brush by hanging it upside down. We have found that these stands work well with Simpsons shaving brushes and will not touch the knots when used. They can stand on a counter or be affixed to a vertical surface using the attached adhesive decal or screw hole on the rear side.

Simpson brush stand-

This stand is a fail for me. I purchased the stand on the basis that it would fit the Simpsons 3T Trafalgar brush that I purchased at the same time. The T3 has a large handle. The cradle opening way to narrow and will not accommodate the brush handle. The brush can be forced in to the stand at the neck between the brush and handle, but that doesn’t workout well. It crushes the bristles of the brush.

Hang it!

OK should you…or should you not hang a brush to dry? There are a lot of people who argue this back-and-forth. Even Simpson claims it’s not necessary, but I disagree. If you stand a brush on it’s base, then what happens is the water runs down into the glued part of the knot ancan eventually loosen the hair or fibers,

So I say to hang your brushes if you want them to last. This may be the best advice I can give you when it comes to making your brushes last.
