The Merkur Heavy Duty Long Handle Barber Pole Safety Razor is a chrome finished 2-piece double edge razor. The comfortable handle is approximately 3.75` long and is designed with a non-slip grip. Longer and heavier than the HD, it weighs over 4 oz. This razor uses double edge blades for a close and comfortable shave. The bar on this razor is slanted to provide a more agressive shave. Replacement blades are available.
Known as the "Sledge-hammer" by wet shaving enthusiasts, this razor is very aggresive & not recommended for beginners. Features the same nostalgic 'Barber Pole' style, heavy-duty, long handle as the 38C, but comes with a slant-bar head, which bends the blade on an angle for a more aggressive shave. The no-slip handle provides a very solid, quality and confident feel, especially for those with large hands. Compatible with all double edge razor blades - one Merkur Platinum Coated Stainless Steel blade included free!
