  1. Wet your shaving brush: Use warm water to soften the bristles and create a warm lather.
  2. Load the brush: Swirl the brush on the soap to create a thick, creamy lather.
  3. Apply the lather: Gently massage the lather onto your shaving area, ensuring a protective layer for the razor.
  4. Shave with the Grain: For a close shave with minimal irritation, shave in the direction your hair grows. You can optionally shave against the grain for an extra-smooth finish, but be cautious of irritation.
  5. Rinse and Pat Dry: Rinse your face with cool water to remove shaving cream and pat dry with a clean towel.

I bought Catie's Bubbles Barnegat Bay soap mostly because 1) I wanted spicy soap, and 2) Catie's is a small business from my area of the country, and I thought it would be nice to support them. This soap is a winner. The scent is stronger than most of the other soaps I have, and the spice blend is very interesting and seems more sophisticated than other spice products I remembered. In fact, after shaving, I rubbed some of the left over lather into my face, as a sort of creamy after shave.
The soap whipped up into a fairly rich lather, and didn't dry out on my face. It was perfectly comfortable, if not the slickest lather I've tried. Catie's Barnegat Bay will definitely be in my rotation, and want to check out Catie's other "flavors."
