The Parker Variant is a marvelous DE Razor. Its is smooth, yet with some desirable aggressiveness.

There are old (i.e. "vintage") adjustable razors out there, which people fuss over and get into bidding wars with each other on a certain well-known auction site. There are a few current-production adjustable razors around, ranging in price from moderate to highly-immoderate. The Variant falls in the moderate category–in fact, I'd say the price is incredibly good for what you get: a well-built, well-balanced, solid shaver that can make an "okay" blade shave well, make a good blade shave great, and a great blade fantastic. I can truly say you can't go too wrong with this one.
