Meehan’s Bay Rhum is as pure a “bay” formula without additives as a person can get. It is one of the few best. Unrecognizable as bay rum fragrance to those unfamiliar with unadulterated bay leaf. This cologne is absent of the sometimes cloyingly sweet run of the mill standard scented clove mixture. At first whiff is a tamed and well behaved light bay leaf scent. Nothing more. Unfortunately, this bay rhum cologne’s existence is being threatened. Supplies of the bay where it is sourced is drying up for several unrelated reasons. This unique and pure scent is scarce and is a nationally treasured commodity facing ruin. Truly a potentially major loss to the shaving community and beyond.
