While this particular name may be off-putting, the scent is magnificent – you might even call it royal.

In the mid-18th century there lived a thoroughbred racehorse, presumably named after a particularly famous (or infamous) king. Were you to ask anyone on the street what they think of when they hear that horse’s name, I would wager that they would immediately think of the king, not the horse. That particular king is, at least at present, most remembered for a particularly bloody-handed decision well known as the Massacre of the Innocents.

While this particular name may be off-putting, the scent is magnificent – you might even call it royal.

Top notes: cinnamon and pepper wood.

Heart: osmanthus, tobacco leaf, labdanum and incense.

Base: vanilla, cedar, vetiver, patchouli, iso e super, cypriol and musk.

BASE: Milksteak is my tongue-in-cheek name for the culmination of all of my soapcrafting experience to date. While the name may be whimsical, it was an incredibly difficult decision to deprecate Bison and Icarus – one I would not make without full confidence that I was releasing not only the best soap base I have ever developed, but one of the finest soap bases ever created.

Luxurious and Regal Scent: Despite the unusual name, this soap offers a truly magnificent fragrance described as "royal."

Unique Blend: The scent profile is complex and intriguing, featuring top notes of cinnamon and pepperwood, a heart of osmanthus, tobacco leaf, labdanum, and incense, and a base of vanilla, cedar, vetiver, patchouli, and musk.

Superior Lather (possibly): While not explicitly mentioned, Declaration Grooming soaps are known for their excellent lathering properties, providing a smooth glide for a comfortable shave.

Stearic Acid, Water, Castor Oil, Potassium

  1. Wet your shaving brush with warm water.
  2. Swirl the brush in the soap to create a lather.
  3. Apply the lather to your face in a circular motion to lift and soften beard hairs.
  4. Shave with a sharp razor.
  5. Rinse your face with cool water and pat dry.
  6. Let your soap dry naturally before closing the lid.
