This beautiful traditional Japanese towel is carefully folded like a book and held with two loose stitches so that you or your gift recipient can page through the designs as though browsing an art book. Once the towel is opened, it can be used or displayed as art.
This style features a samurai cat on the front; the second image shows designs you will see when the towel is unfolded.
The original fabric [Wakaba] is carefully selected and dyed by traditional textile printing method, which prevents color fading.
The tenugui is highly absorbent and has a lot of colorful and playful patterns.
Material / component: 100% cotton
Closed: 6.69 x 3.74 inches
Unfolded: 35.4 x 13.4 inches
There may be slight variations in size due to the expansion and contraction of the fabric.
Dark colors may fade slightly. Colors may bleed if they are layered while wet.
This is a traditional tenugui towel with the edges left unstitched. The fraying will stop naturally. Please trim any loose threads with scissors as needed.
