Truth be told, I was never a big fan of traditional bay rum scents. I wanted to create a Bay Rum composition which is not typical and without cinnamon or clove oils which can cause adverse effects and irritation. 

I’m using real Bay Leaf and rum. In place of cinnamon & cloves, I’m using real tonka, real coumarin for warmth and added complexity. I’m also using clementine essential oil and orange blossom. In addition, I have added a hint of apple & pomegranate notes. Finally I added a whisper of geranium essential oil and a powder note which I think turned this into a beautiful scent people who don’t normally gravitate towards traditional bay rums will love.

Prep Your Shaving Area: Wash your face with warm water and a gentle cleanser to soften hair and open pores.

Load Your Shaving Brush: Wet your shaving brush and swirl it on the soap puck to create a lather in a shaving bowl.

Apply Lather: Apply the rich lather generously over your shaving area, ensuring good coverage for the razor.

Shave: Using a sharp razor, shave with the grain for the first pass, then against the grain for a closer shave (be cautious for the second pass). You may need to reapply lather for multiple passes.

Rinse and Finish: Rinse your face with cool water and pat it dry. Apply your preferred aftershave or moisturizer for added comfort and hydration.
