Shaolin Shaving
REALLY a monster

I have had this brush for maybe six months now, and it produces fantastic lather, but it does have some drawbacks.

First, it is very handle-heavy and has a high loft, so it will not fit in most bowls, or will take a header onto the sink or floor. So when I use it, I stand it up. That causes water (it holds a LOT of water so you need to wring it out before you start your lathering) and lather to ooze onto the handle.

Next, the quantity of lather is more than most men will use to shave their face. One time, after my 6-pass shave, I lathered a few more times without shaving just to see how many passes I could get. I stopped at 11 and it was still lathering pretty heavy, and I still had to wash out the brush. For men who shave their heads, or people who shave their body, this may be a good choice, but I'm relegating this to my lazy Sunday morning shave.

Having said all that, the quality of the lather is excellent, the brush is soft, has good backbone, splays nicely, etc. etc. really no complaints on quality, the quantity is my issue.
