Soak your brush. Hold your shaving brush under hot water for about 30 seconds to soften the bristles and prepare them for lathering.

Load your brush. Swirl your wet shaving brush over the soap surface until it is coated with a thick layer of lather.

Lather the soap. Transfer the soap from your brush to a bowl or lather directly on your face.

Apply the lather. Use your fingers or brush to apply the lather evenly to your beard area.

Shave with the grain. Use a sharp razor to shave in the direction of hair growth.

Rinse and repeat. Rinse your face with warm water and reapply lather as needed.

Apply aftershave. Once you're finished shaving, rinse your face with cold water and pat it dry. Apply your favorite aftershave to soothe and protect your skin.
