The Drake shaving brush is Darwin’s tribute to a former American shaving brand. Their production was discreet but serious and well-made, with an original look. Darwin revisits one of the iconic models of this small factory, with this shaving brush.
The knot is made of real badger hairs, “white badger” grade in two bands. This rare grade is beautiful to the eye, but also combines several important assets for a luxurious lather and a pleasant shave. The body of the hair is a bit thicker for a good backbone and a brush that has character, but the tips left natural are as soft as a silvertip grade.
The handle is made of lathe-turned resin, as before. Resin is the most suitable material for use in a wet environment: its weight is perfect, its resistance to moisture and temperature changes is high and it allows to play with shapes and colors. Its flared foot and its facets gives it a perfect grip, and will allow you to hang it without worry.
The logos is slightly carved, adding a unique character to this quality brush.

Presentation: this brush is delivered in a small wooden barrel, which can be used afterwards as a piggy bank, pencil pot, tea box… Due to its natural and handmade design, not one barrel is identical to the other. Some are clearer, others are darker, some slight misalignments can appear.
USE PRECAUTION
Do not use water that is too hot. Be sure to rinse your shaving brush thoroughly after use, drain it gently, dry it with a towel, comb it to separate the hairs and then place it upside down on a suitable stand.
